Gershon Ben Keren

Gershon Ben Keren is a criminologist who has been teaching Women’s Self-Defense since 1990. His approach to teaching self-defense and personal safety is to use an evidential and research based approach, that is fact-based. He has two master’s degrees. One in Psychology and the other in Criminology and Criminal Psychology. He has also spent over 30-years in the security industry as an operative, trainer and consultant. He is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga (the Israeli Military’s system of hand-to-hand combat), and a 2010 inductee into the Museum of Israeli Martial Arts in Herzliya, Israel. He has written three Amazon best-selling books on Krav Maga and Personal Safety/Self-Protection, published by Tuttle Publishing. Liz Berrien

Liz has been teaching the SEPS Women’s Self-Defense program since 2012 and has been training in Krav Maga since 2009. She is a certified Strongman trainer, with instructor certificates from both Crossfit, and the World’s Strongest Man, Svend Karlsen, of the Global Strongman Gym. She is also a certified TRX trainer, and a certified personal trainer and Functional Training Specialist with ACE. She holds an active shooter response instructor certificate with ALICE and is a Green Level Coach with USA Boxing.
